Teen Challenge Ministry Institute Application

David Wilkerson recognized God was calling a significant number of redeemed and fired-up Teen Challenge program graduates to the ministry. And he also realized that with trainging, they could have an amazing impact on those from similar backgrounds and those living in needy drug and gang-infested communities.

Rev. Wilkerson established the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute at his Texas headquarters. The school successfully trained hundreds of students who are today in leadership ministry positions. He closed that school in 1980, and to ensure its continuance, he assisted with the establishment of that ministry here in California in 1981.

The TCMI purpose is two-fold:

To train students to serve the Teen Challenge ministries in Southern California and around the world in entry-level positions.

To train students to work in the harvest field of the nation's inner cities.
