Teen Challenge - The Proven Cure for the Drug Epidemic

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Griffith, Executive Director of Teen Challenge of Southern California and a friend of Teen Challenge centers worldwide. Dennis’ sudden passing this weekend comes as a shock to all who knew him. Please join us in praying for Kim and the entire family at this very difficult time, that God would comfort and strengthen them.

Expressions of concern and support have already started coming in, literally from around the world. The impact of Dennis’ life extended far beyond Southern California. Today and tomorrow four national directors of Teen Challenge centers in Europe are on our campus for Spiritual Emphasis week. Their presence with us is a testimony and reminder that the vision God gave Dennis was bigger than one organization – it was about Kingdom Work. We can take comfort in this, that the God who birthed Teen Challenge a half century ago still has His hand on its direction.

Jeremiah, a man of God acquainted with grief, reminds us of this promise: His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23). In this time of sudden loss we rest in His Mercies and declare His Faithfulness.

This special web page (www.teenchallenge.com/dennis)  has been created to convey the latest information that many of you will want to know. As details about the service date and time are completed, they will be posted here.

Thank you for your prayers.

The family has requested that no flowers be sent. We believe that it would certainly be a suitable tribute to Dennis’ life that, in lieu of flowers, gifts could be sent to Teen Challenge of Southern California.
